Happy Birthday Rocco and Taegan!!! My little guys are 2! As I reflect on this past year, all the changes, milestones, highs and lows, I can't help but feel deeply grateful for the life and family that I have. My two healthy boys, so full of energy and trouble. Their mischievous little smiles can break my mean mommy face in an instant. They make every day fun and very interesting. I can't imagine my life without these two. Taegan and Rocco you are my world and I love you more than you could ever know!
Okay now for a recap of our day! We started with blueberry pancakes with candles. We sang Happy Birthday, blew out candles, and grubbed :) (all of which I failed to capture on camera) Next we went to a pool in our neighborhood. They have this awesome little kid section! The boys had a blast and were not very happy when it was time to leave. We headed home and enjoyed lunch followed by a 4 hour nap!! (I felt like it was my birthday!) After they woke up they had some presents waiting for them from Grandma, Abuelo, Aunt Erika, and Uncle Bobby. The tow truck, motorcycle, dump truck, and jeep were a big hit. After a grocery store trip and hanging out we enjoyed a pizza dinner.
We celebrated the boy's birthday a week early this year, and opted for a little family party. The craziness of moving into a new house and getting settled was enough for one summer for me! The party was perfect for the boys! Just the right amount of people, you could tell the boys felt comfortable and were really able to enjoy themselves surrounded by people who love them :) So we did low key hamburger and hotdog grilling, drove our cars in laps around the house, played with balloons, opened presents, and ate cupcakes. All in all a great way to ring in the big TWO! Friday is their actual birthday and Ray is off so we will do something fun and special for the day (there will be a blog entry) On a side note it is my goal as we go into a new school year to be a better blogger :)
Without further ado here are some pictures from the festivities!
